More than gloves and rings

We’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit built on a simple belief: it takes a village to raise a child. That’s why we partner with families, schools, mental-health professionals, local businesses, faith communities, and law enforcement to surround young people with consistent, wraparound support.

Our mission

Empower youth through the disciplined art of boxing, the strength of mentorship, and the power of holistic support—so they can rise in life with confidence, stability, and hope.

Why Trenton? Why now?

Like many cities, Trenton faces chronic absenteeism, low graduation rates, exposure to violence, untreated mental-health needs, and a shortage of safe after-school options—alongside eroded trust between youth and law enforcement. NextGen is designed as a year-round, 100% free sanctuary that integrates athletics, education, and healing.

How we bridge systems

  • Schools: Daily homework labs, Saturday intensives, and credit-bearing opportunities (peer mentorship & service learning). Planned with Trenton Public Schools.
  • Law Enforcement – “Cops & Gloves”: Train together (uniforms off, gloves on), co-led de-escalation/communication workshops, and post-workout dialogue to build trust.
  • Flexible, virtual coursework supported by dedicated academic mentors, designed for youth who are close to graduating or who have stepped away from traditional school environments.

Leadership & facility

Guided by Rory Holloway and Willie Jennings, our community-centric facility plan (by The Rainford Group) includes 3–4 regulation rings, weight/cardio zones, counseling rooms, a homework lab, multipurpose classrooms, a family lounge, and secure access.
