Boxing & Fitness

What it is (public-facing description)

Boxing is our universal language. We use disciplined training to build character, self-control, and grit. Every young person who walks through our doors is treated like a champion in progress—now it's time to take action.

Purpose & Rationale

Boxing attracts youth with its culture and challenge, then channels that energy into positive habits—self-regulation, goal-setting, accountability, and mutual respect that transfer to school, home, and community.

Core Services & Activities (Expansion)

  • Progressive training tracks: fundamentals → sparring readiness → sanctioned showcases
  • Strength & conditioning: age-appropriate cardio, mobility, and injury-prevention blocks
  • Safety first: headgear standards, concussion awareness micro-lessons, and return-to-play protocols
  • Culture-building: gym expectations, leadership roles (captains, peer warm-up leads), and sportsmanship codes
  • “Cops & Gloves” trust-building sessions: joint workouts + de-escalation workshops with local officers

Staffing & Partners

Certified boxing coaches; strength/conditioning specialists; guest clinicians (nutrition, sleep); coordination with law enforcement for “Cops & Gloves.”

Attendance and progression benchmarks; fitness gains (e.g., baseline → 12-week improvements); showcases/skill assessments; behavioral indicators (on-time arrivals, leadership points).
